One word to describe this session would be, “authentic.”  The flow of activities was entirely driven by what the children wanted to do.  All I asked was, “Can you show me your yard?” and off we went, playing hockey, camping, dirt digging, chicken chasing, frog catching, and even a few circus acts! I find the environment these parents have created and nurtured for their children to be unique in a very obvious way…these kids are playing outside, daily! A breathe of fresh air, a freedom to be young, a curious spirit, they had it all…completely available to them just by spending time in their own yard!
