Apart from family, while living in california and key biscayne, I missed nothing more than the turning of the seasons. With the burst of color fall comes with, we feel an uplift in energy and perspective….a complete turn over in the soul and feeling of nostalgia for our youth…as school begins, fall sports start, and our kids are one year bigger.
These two gals where half this size when I first photographed them. Today in this fresh bright backdrop, they glow. Inspired by these little ladies, here are a few tips and tricks for styling your session wardrobe.
- Coordinate, but don’t replicate, each members outfit…I usually recommend picking a palette of 2-3 colors and letting it run through everyone’s outfits…1-2 neutrals and a pop of color is a good guiding path
- Build from ONE—if you know what you want to wear, or if you have a certain outfit for your child, start there and build every other around it!
- Accessorize is key! This is where you can add in a dose of personality! Scarves, hats, beaded necklaces and jewels, hats, and more!
- Layers always help to provide more depth and shape for everyone’s body type.
- Texture it just makes it interesting and helps to frame the face a bit!
