Husband settings! A Priority Mode | ISO 250 | F. 3.5 | 1/160 Shutter
This pretty photography my husband took with my backup D700…Now, I will save these settings as his own and get in the picture more often to be part of our story!
So without further ado, here it is!
Set your camera to the Aperture priority! On Nikon it is A, on Canon Ai (i think, not a canon shooter here)…In any lens open up the aperture(yes, also called Fstop) as wide as it can go…the number will be low…like 2 of 2.5 or maybe 3.5. I preset the ISO or light sensitivity to 250. No one ever pays attention to ISO but a quick look at it in the beginning of your shooting activity makes big difference. Here’s how it works…Low ISO number works best for outdoor bright locations, a high ISO will be needed inside or in darker settings. Finally….because we are in the Aperture Mode…Your camera will decide what shutter speed it needs…No other adjustments necessary…just get a little closer to your subject so that the subject is the main focus of the image and the background will be creamy and beautiful.
